Societal Interaction at the Interface of Research and Industry

Collaboration between the Information Technology Unit, companies and society is based on strong societal engagement and applied research. A key form of collaboration is active project-based work, through which research results and expertise are transferred to the needs of industry and society.

Cooperation with companies is close and long-term, reflected in extensive research partnerships and practice-oriented development projects. We promote the development and application of ICT technologies by supporting information and communication technology companies in developing their services and by helping companies in other industrial sectors make more effective use of ICT.

In addition to project-based activities, we offer research-based expertise and digital solutions as tailored, company-specific services. The unit also actively participates in various networks and events that promote societal digitalisation and the dissemination of current research and development knowledge.
