Enhancing Quality in Laboratory Exercises

Laboratory work delivered through distance learning requires special practices. Some of the work involves operating physical equipment, while other tasks deal with real-time data collected from the environment.

The Laatua etäopiskeluun project addresses the need to streamline processes by developing a tool that provides the responsible lecturers of laboratory courses in the Information Technology unit with a clear overview of participant numbers in continuously offered courses, enabling them to anticipate their workload. In addition, the tool allows for tracking loaned equipment as well as managing equipment inventory records.

At present, the tool’s requirements specification has been completed, and the data structure has been designed accordingly.
