Quality for distance learning

Interactive tool in pilot use

A new interactive tool has been developed as part of the Quality in Distance Education project. The tool is now being piloted.

The project has explored tools that can be used to increase the interactivity of lecture videos. The OpenLMS learning environment exam tool best met the requirements. The tool can be used to add multiple-choice and drag-and-drop questions to videos, for example.

The tool was put into trial use in the Wireless Sensor Networks course in the spring semester of 2025. Questions related to the lecture topic, such as multiple-choice questions, have been added to the lecture videos. Any shortcomings and bugs identified during the pilot use have already been fixed. The tool will be further developed based on feedback collected from students.
