From Data to Impact – Generative AI Solutions Presented at IT Seminar

Generative AI opens up new opportunities – IT seminar presents progress of the Data-based efficiency project
The IT seminar held in September delved into the world of generative AI and the opportunities it offers in developing organizations' operations. The seminar brought together experts and developers to discuss how AI can support productivity, efficiency and knowledge-based management.

During the coffee break, Project Manager Veli-Matti Tornikoski presented the Data-based efficiency, productivity and impact project, which has developed proof-of-concept agent software to utilize generative AI in practical work. The presentation sparked interest and discussion about how AI-based agents can support decision-making, automate routine tasks and improve information availability.

"We have built several experimental agents that utilize generative AI, for example in document analysis, reporting and information retrieval. The goal is to bring AI closer to everyday work processes," says Tornikoski.

The goal of the project is to study and test how data can be refined to provide concrete benefits for various functions in an organization. The agents developed in the proof-of-concept phase serve as a platform for further development and enable the construction of new applications.

The seminar provided participants with an overview of the current state and future prospects of AI, as well as concrete examples of how the technology can be applied already now. The presentation of the Data-to-Efficiency project highlighted that utilizing AI is not just a technical issue, but also a change in operating methods and thinking.
