The largest industrial event in the Nordic countries, Alihankinta 2025, once again brought thousands of visitors to Tampere to learn about the latest innovations and solutions in the manufacturing industry. The three-day event offered a comprehensive overview of the development of the sector, and the Kokkola University Consortium Chydenius was also present to present its activities.
At the University Consortium's stand, visitors were able to learn about, among other things, how data can be collected in Cyber Physical Systems, and how generative AI and data analytics can be utilized in the development of industrial processes in the Data to Efficiency, Productivity and Competitiveness project. Among the exhibits were, among other things, AI agents developed in the project that support information management, reporting and decision-making automation.
The project aroused interest among fair visitors, especially through the search for new information and practical applications. The discussions also raised various opportunities for cooperation with companies, for example in the form of development projects.
The Alihankinta fair provided an excellent forum for networking and sharing new ideas. The participation of the Kokkola University Center highlighted regional expertise and strengthened the dialogue between research and industry.
