What happens to data transfer when one base station after another stops working at the same time? Easter provided a good example of why there must be several base stations to ensure reliable data transfer.
The Takomo project has systematically built a LoRa base station network in the Kokkola Industrial Park (KIP). There are four base stations in the area, three of which malfunctioned during the Easter holidays. All data transfer was routed to base stations operating in stages and ultimately to the only functioning base station, ensuring that the data reached its destination.

After Easter, all base stations have been restored to working order, and data transfer is being evenly distributed among the base stations. The Takomo project will continue to strengthen the base station network in the KIP area, and the fifth base station in the area has already been agreed upon.
