The LoRaWAN gateway located in the Kokkola water tower has been upgraded and connected to the new LoRa Network Server platform, which improves the network’s manageability, security and scalability. The upgrade enables more efficient integration and testing of IoT devices in a private LoRaWAN network.
The gateway operates as part of a closed LoRaWAN network, providing a reliable and interference-free environment for the development and validation of various sensors and IoT applications. The high installation location of the water tower ensures excellent coverage and long range, enabling the coverage of large test areas.
With the upgrade, the network supports the latest LoRaWAN protocols and provides developers with flexible interfaces for data collection and analysis. This creates a strong foundation for future smart infrastructure solutions and supports regional IoT development.
