In today's society, the physical and the IT world, the so-called cyber world, are combined in a way that creates added value. We are talking about cyber-physical systems. In cyber-physical systems, data produced by physical device systems, production processes and the like is combined with the ability of IT systems to process and analyze data, producing new information and knowledge. Sensor networks and IoT devices play a significant role in producing data from the physical world. Similarly, technologies classified under the concept of artificial intelligence currently play a major role in data processing and analysis.

The project aims to apply these basic elements of cyber-physical systems, IoT technologies and sensor network solutions, as well as artificial intelligence, to the needs of business. The project will use these technologies to develop innovative solutions for different industries that are based on data and enhance their functionality, enabling better productivity and increasing competitiveness. In addition to streamlining operations, IoT and artificial intelligence solutions can help companies develop completely new innovative products and services that stand out from their competitors. In this way, the project's solutions strengthen the renewal and growth of industries. The project aims to promote the adoption of new technology and the exploitation of opportunities. The project's activities are based on needs-based research and development, experiments and pilots, and the dissemination of information, for example through training and seminars. This will enable the widespread adoption and application of research results in different industries and promote the creation of new business opportunities.

An overview of the project's key objectives:

  1. The goal is to develop new IoT and AI-based solutions that collect and process data, which can be used to renew and improve business life. The project focuses on:
    • Technological solutions for data collection
    • Data analysis using statistical and AI-based methods
    • Visualization of information obtained using data
  2. The goal is to develop solutions that, for example:
    • Help companies optimize their operations, reduce costs and increase operational efficiency
    • Enable predictive maintenance and troubleshooting, which means that less time and resources can be spent on fixing faults
    • Give companies the tools to create completely new data-based business and innovation
    • Promote sustainable development and help companies monitor and reduce their environmental impact and improve resource efficiency.
  3. The aim is to help companies better understand the opportunities and benefits of new technology from the perspective of their own operations through guidance and advice.
  4. An important role in the introduction of new technologies is also played by creating working example solutions and communicating them effectively.

This project is co-funded by the European Union.
