LIoT

The LIoT project combines IoT and 3D printing

Kokkola University Consortium Chydenius is building a unique technology and pilot environment where companies and research partners can jointly experiment and develop new industrial internet and internet of things (IoT) solutions. The aim is to promote the exploitation, business and international competitiveness of technology and digitalization in Central Ostrobothnia.

Now in the project environment, 3D printing and IoT's various sensor technologies and microcontroller platforms and electronics are combined. In the environment, for example, companies can, with the help of the project, try agile IoT solutions and produce small-scale encapsulation solutions for PoC's and finished products.3D printing is particularly well suited for experimental development for e.g. R&D, where it is important to quickly test how solutions work in real-world environments and, for example, end-users.
