Educational development

In ICT unit, research on education technologies has been going on for a long while. Resulting from the research a well-functioning blended adult education model has evolved within the Master Studies in Mathematical Information Technology.

The model combines various teaching methods which make good use of information and communication technology. The model is based on versatile use of video lectures realized with streaming technology, distance guidance tools and learning management systems.

For the past few years, the research on education technologies has mainly focused on

    • intelligent virtual campus solutions
    • flexible technological solutions and pedagogical operation models related to them
    • video production processes
    • opportunities for interactivity related to videos
    • quality aspects (Quality of Service, Quality of Experience) of video transmission
