Water plant Kaustinen

The project visited Kaustinen, getting to know and mapping the operating environment and needs of the Kaustinen waterworks. The aim of the project is to find out the state and challenges of ecosystems related to water use and production by water-related actors in Central Ostrobothnia and to produce new information based on applied research related to them.

The visit mapped the opportunities for utilization of digitalisation and potential pilot sites, as well as future challenges and development sites in the Kaustinen area. Based on the mapping of the pilot sites, Kaustinen will test the LoRa base station and the LoRa network server software.
