DiVes - Measuring the water flow in the municipal water network

The project has begun to prepare a measurement pilot for the Kokkola water network. The goal is to install flow meters utilizing wireless flow measurement in the backbone network, and process the data in the pilot information system of the project. The meters are located in a well that comes between the lines of the underground backbone network. Before installing new wells, flow meters utilizing LoRa technology must be connected to a LoRa network. In this case, they were connected to a network managed by Digita.
Flow can be monitored from one well over a dense period, with the aim of obtaining information on possible backbone network leaks. The aim is to connect the flow measurements to the automation system using the MQTT protocol.
