Hakalahti Water Tower gets a Dives gateway

A LoRaWAN base station in the DiVes project network has been installed in the project. The installation site is the Kokkola water tower in Hakalahti. The installation works well for LoRa technology due to the structure made possible by high installation (50m). The LoRa base station is an iBTS-compact 4g base station supplied by Kerlink. The base station works with both Ethernet and 4g technologies, which guarantees a high level of reliability in the event of unexpected network disruptions.

In the coverage area, the base station allows different water operators to test and quickly pilot various application ideas that require an Internet of Things network for IoT devices.
