LoRaWAN network expanded in the Kokkola Industrial Park

The LoRaWAN base station network in the Kokkola Industrial Park has expanded with a new base station installed at Keliber’s lithium refinery site in Kokkola. The fifth base station in the industrial area strengthens the data transmission network maintained by the Kokkola University Consortium on the KIP site. Through the LoRaWAN network, data from more than 70 environmental measurements is transmitted to the university consortium’s database.

At the same measurement point, a weather station and a continuous noise monitoring system were also installed. The measurements collect noise data both before the plant is commissioned and during its operation.
